A Guide to Ventures

The purpose of net-ferret web ventures is to provide free, educational, problem solving resources linked to the National Curriculum and/or QCA where all the research has been done for you, giving you freedom to work alongside the pupils.

They set an overall problem, if necessary, broken down into smaller tasks, with the means of solving the problem, either within the venture or by provided links to specific pages within external web sites.

They may form a major part of class work, compliment or extend that work, or can be dipped into. Some are designed specifically for groups covering different areas, others for all groups covering the same activities. They may just be used for a list of useful web sites!

Ventures will often cover more than one NC area and will incorporate many ICT skills. Where necessary, help pages are provided.

They have been designed with the same structure as WebQuests but with different labels.
